In this article, Salma reflects on her experience with the Egyptian judicial system, relating it to the experiences of other women who are criminalized for “disturbing the public” - for either protesting against sexual harassment or practicing their autonomy through content creation. She reflects on how feminists from the Global South intentionally “disturb” comfort zones to advance sexual and reproductive justice.
